How often should I visit the dentist for a dental exam and professional cleaning?

You should have your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year, though your dentist may recommend more frequent visits. 

Regular dental exams and cleaning visits are essential in preventing dental problems and maintaining the health of your teeth and gums.  At these visits, your teeth are cleaned and checked for cavities.  Additionally, there are many other things that are checked and monitored to help detect, prevent, and maintain your dental health.

At what age do you recommend my child have their first dental visit?

In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a dentist when the first tooth appears.

What are my payment options?

Yes, we offer individualized payment plans for necessary dental treatment.  In addition, we accept many types of dental insurance and we will assist you in processing your dental claims.  We also accept cash, check and most major credit cards.

Do you offer bleaching options for whitening teeth?

Yes, we enjoy assisting our patients enhance their smiles.  We offer Sinsational Smile whitening that provides fast and effective whitening.  This is a 20 minute procedure that includes the use of LED accelerated lighting that helps to activate the gel’s whitening ingredients at a faster rate, resulting in whiter teeth in less time. We also provide a tray bleaching system that you can use in the comfort of your own home.  Please ask us about the possibilities.  

What is gum disease and how do you know if you have it?

Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss today.  The reason you lose teeth from gum disease is because this disease attacks the gums as well as the bone, which are the foundation in which your teeth rest.  Anyone at any age is susceptible to gum disease.  Routine and regular visits to your dentist are the best way of catching gum disease in its early stages before too much damage has been caused.  

What are porcelain veneers and how can they improve my smile?

Porcelain veneers are very thin shells of tooth-shaped porcelain that are individually crafted to cover the fronts of teeth.  They are very durable and will not stain, making them a very popular solution for those seeking to restore or enhance the beauty of their smile.
